Located in Brest, Quimper, Lorient, and Vannes, it brings together nearly <b>650 scientists, faculty researchers, PhD students, and engineers<\/b> around a shared ambition: <b>\u201cFrom sensors to knowledge: communicate and decide.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Organized into nine scientific divisions, the UBS component of Lab-STICC covers a wide range of disciplines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Embedded Artificial Intelligence,<\/li>\n<li>Signal and Image Processing,<\/li>\n<li>Digital Communications,<\/li>\n<li>Embedded Systems Security,<\/li>\n<li>Human Factors,<\/li>\n<li>Geographic Information Systems (GIS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This diversity enables the development of high-level research across various sectors, including maritime environment, healthcare, defense, space, robotics, connected objects, and communication systems.<\/p>\n<p>Lab-STICC stands out with an <b>integrated approach<\/b> that connects all stages of information processing: from sensor design, to data transmission and analysis, up to decision support. This global vision is strengthened by cross-disciplinary programs addressing key future challenges: cybersecurity of embedded systems, autonomous robotics, virtual and augmented reality, and applied artificial intelligence, particularly in the maritime domain.<\/p>\n<p>The Lab-STICC contributes to the development of innovative solutions in four major areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Intelligent and secure embedded systems,<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Human\u2013machine interfaces and human factors,<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Geographic Information Systems (GIS),<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Decision support, operational research, and digital twins.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strongly committed to <b>applied research and technology transfer<\/b>, the laboratory works in close collaboration with industrial partners and
