To achieve this, UBSIDE and its partner ComposiTIC are equipped with:
- A slow-speed double-rotor shredder (50 × 50 cm capacity)
- A Wanner knife mill (high-speed) with calibration screens (4-12 mm) : optional dust collection to help to capture fine particles
- A Wanner single-screw thermogranulator with a feed screw, heating up to 400°C
- A set of machines for testing material reuse: injection press, heating press and extruders compatible with thermoplastics, including technical grades (up to 400°C)
- Characterization tools to evaluate viscosity, fiber length, material degradation, and more
